data-start=\"370\" data-end=\"400\">The problem we are solving<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"402\" data-end=\"517\">Many learners are not failing to regulate.<br data-start=\"444\" data-end=\"447\" \/>They are arriving in a state the system does not yet know how to read.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"586\">A child, young person, or adult can wake with incomplete overnight:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"627\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1wx43bf\" data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"600\">recovery<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fv18kd\" data-start=\"601\" data-end=\"725\">unresolved carry-over<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"nigiu0\" data-start=\"726\" data-end=\"746\">distorted gating<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fvydf5\" data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"770\">reduced flexibility<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"n39we\" data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"793\">misaligned signals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"885\">They then move through the day from a system that has reopened in a compromised condition.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"887\" data-end=\"890\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"892\" data-end=\"919\">Most systems respond as if:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"921\" data-end=\"1081\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1dj3a7v\" data-start=\"921\" data-end=\"965\">everyone began the day equally available<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"vmsts2\" data-start=\"966\" data-end=\"994\">behaviour is intentional<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"h5u5bx\" data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1031\">cognition is available on demand<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"3pdld7\" data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1081\">consistency yesterday means consistency today<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1083\" data-end=\"1123\">That mismatch is where escalation grows.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1209\">Because the system being used during the day<br data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1172\" \/>was shaped before the person woke up.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1211\" data-end=\"1214\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1268\">Most systems are built for consistency of behaviour.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1338\">But human systems are not consistent \u2014 they are <strong data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1337\">state-dependent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1400\">When this is not recognised, escalation becomes predictable.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1402\" data-end=\"1405\" \/>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"18ntrdo\" data-start=\"1407\" data-end=\"1431\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1431\">What this changes<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1433\" data-end=\"1462\">Together, we support a shift:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1464\" data-end=\"1902\">Why this works<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1904\" data-end=\"1952\">We lead with what actually determines behaviour:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1954\" data-end=\"2075\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1cvayzr\" data-start=\"1954\" data-end=\"1968\">wake state<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"erob9h\" data-start=\"1969\" data-end=\"1991\">available capacity<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1dbvref\" data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"2010\">gating quality<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1gfxt4c\" data-start=\"2011\" data-end=\"2032\">retained data-start=\"2169\" data-end=\"2225\">A school or college day usually begins with assumptions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2227\" data-end=\"2271\">Here, the day begins with <strong data-start=\"2253\" data-end=\"2270\">state reading<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2273\" data-end=\"2305\">The first question is no longer:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2307\" data-end=\"2340\">\n<p data-start=\"2309\" data-end=\"2340\">\u201cWhat\u2019s wrong with this pupil?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2342\" data-end=\"2353\">It becomes:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2355\" data-end=\"2417\">\n<p data-start=\"2357\" data-end=\"2417\"><strong data-start=\"2357\" data-end=\"2417\">\u201cWhat condition has this human system arrived in today?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr data-start=\"2419\" data-end=\"2422\" \/>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"h6jkf6\" data-start=\"2424\" data-end=\"2448\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"2427\" data-end=\"2448\">How we read state<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2450\" data-end=\"2530\">We begin by reading the learner\u2019s morning condition through three simple lenses:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2532\" data-end=\"2665\">\n<li data-section-id=\"8zeo73\" data-start=\"2532\" data-end=\"2571\"><strong data-start=\"2534\" data-end=\"2547\">Body load<\/strong> (physiological state)<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"lu02cx\" data-start=\"2572\" data-end=\"2622\"><strong data-start=\"2574\" data-end=\"2593\">Relational load<\/strong> (emotional \/ social state)<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1mm4pqh\" data-start=\"2623\" data-end=\"2665\"><strong data-start=\"2625\" data-end=\"2643\">Cognitive load<\/strong> (thinking capacity)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2667\" data-end=\"2696\">Staff can learn this quickly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2698\" data-end=\"2731\">And it changes what happens next.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2733\" data-end=\"2736\" \/>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1pz7dkm\" data-start=\"2738\" data-end=\"2755\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"2741\" data-end=\"2755\">What we do<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2757\" data-end=\"2843\">Within this, we co-create a <strong data-start=\"2785\" data-end=\"2817\">Coherence Response Framework<\/strong> tailored to your setting.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2845\" data-end=\"2848\" \/>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"j1gxpa\" data-start=\"2850\" data-end=\"2890\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"2854\" data-end=\"2890\">Where we can support trialled within a Further Education college, supporting students resitting GCSE Maths.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"363\" data-end=\"597\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Now in its fourth week, the trial focuses on how structured instructional design can improve engagement, participation, and exam readiness \u2014 particularly for learners who experience common barriers to starting and sustaining learning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"599\" data-end=\"873\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Feynman is being used in \u201cMaths Mode\u201d to support teachers in refining lesson plans, PowerPoint delivery, and in-class scaffolding. It does not replace teaching. Instead, it strengthens clarity, sequencing, and accessibility \u2014 especially within mixed-attainment resit groups.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"1200\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">This work sits alongside the college\u2019s existing systems for assessment, topic targeting, and intervention , and complements independent practice platforms such as Century by focusing specifically on understanding, method selection, and exam thinking .<\/span><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1202\" data-end=\"1205\" \/>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"181ejzn\" data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1252\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Understanding the learning barriers: PIPA<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1254\" data-end=\"1351\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">A key focus of the trial is addressing four commonly observed learning states, known as <strong data-start=\"1342\" data-end=\"1350\">PIPA<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1368\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Presence<\/span><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1369\" data-end=\"1440\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Students are physically in the room, but not fully engaged in the task.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1599\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">This may appear as distraction, surface-level copying, or attention drifting.<\/span><br data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1522\" \/><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Rather than treating this as a behaviour issue, Feynman supports teachers to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1601\"
